I've started using My Plate at Live Strong to track my eating and I LOVE it. It makes it so easy to keep track of everything, especially since there's an app for it so I can use my iPod to record what I eat when I'm not at my computer. :)

Almost Better!

Thank you to everyone who left a comment or suggestion (or just plain sympathy!) concerning my caffeine withdrawals.  I’ve had a miserable few days, but am finally starting to feel better.  I’ve been drinking more water and Crystal Lite (what are your favorite flavors?  I’m really liking Raspberry Ice!) and have been valiantly taking my vitamins, so hopefully I will be back to good in a day or two.

I’m working on a new kit, but I have no idea when I’ll be finished with it.  The lack of caffeine has stolen my mojo as well as my energy, I think.  lol  Right now I’m just trying to relax and spend time with the kids.

However, I am participating in the ADSR4 and amazingly I got my first layout finished!  You know how I feel about my own attempts at scrapping, so this whole race is a huge challenge for me, but I’m excited about having a bunch of cool layouts at the end of the race.  Here’s my LO from the first challenge:

Growlie

Are you racing, too?  Did you enjoy the first challenge?

I probably won’t be posting for a couple of days.  Lynn Kurland’s latest book is coming out tomorrow (I’ll be on my way to Borders as soon as they open!) and I just got a notice that Amazon shipped a whole boxful of books I ordered last week, so I may be occupied for a little while.  lol  It’s going to be a very nice week, I think!

Have a great week yourselves!

Good for you Ellie!! I am glad you are feeling better. Those Crystal Lites are a godsend. I can’t believe how much water I actually drink now and when I don’t drink the water I can really tell the difference. I used to HATE drinking water but now I crave it. And my kids love mixing up their favorites too.

The new layout is really sweet. I love the name Growlie…too cute!!

Crystal Lite is great stuff (although the aspartme gives some people headaches). I love the Raspberry Ice myself, but my dentist warned me to go easy – it was staining my teeth :(

Good lucj with the caffeine withdrawal. I gave it up 6 years ago – I was a huge Dr. Pepper/Mt Dew-aholic. It was totally worth it – my stomach is happier and I sleep loads better.

Wow! How fun to see myself on your blog!! And by the way, (for those who might be wondering) we tried to give Luke a bear too, but he wanted NOTHING to do with that bear, or any other bear!

Glad the caffeine withdrawal headaches are ebbing away. Congrats on your fortitude!

I am a fan of Raspberry Lemonade Crystal Light…. I like to add more water though to make it lighter tasting.

    Hi Ellie,
I really like your designs! And your layouts are very nicely put together! I was wondering if you’d share what settings you use for your shadowing because I really like it. I’ve been playing with different ones and am interested to know what others like to use!

    Thanks, Carla

PS – I gave up caffeine (Diet Pepsi) before I got pregnant 4 years ago and grabbed it back up as soon as I was done breastfeeding. I couldn’t imagine giving it up now with 2 kids running around! But good luck to you ’cause it’s not an easy thing to do!!

Sorry to hear about the headaches Ellie! Hope they get better soon. I live on Crystal Light, but my only flavors are Raspberry Lemonade and regular Lemonade. Love them. I should buy stock in them. Hope things get better soon. Keep up the great work, thinking of you. Sariah

The layout is adorable. I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better. I’m wondering if I’m coming down with the crud- feeling very tired today! Might be I’ve gotten more stuff done between yesterday and today than normal. Take Care!~

love the layout. I’ve enjoyed reading through your blog. I have twin boys too! They are 6 mo. so your blog has given me some insight into what I have to look forward to! :) And inspiration on layouts for twins! :)

    Thanks for the freebies!

Ellie – so glad you are feeling better. I couldn’t do it, nor do I want to! :)

The LO is awesome… love the title. And I am so JEALOUS of you… getting to read and order books. I wish I could buy a new book or two. I finally got to read twilight (from a friend) over Christmas but am just dying to read the next one… I think I will just see if the library has it – I can’t wait any longer.

    looks so sweet this layout!

I like Target’s Raspberry Lemonade version of Crystal Light (and it’s cheaper) and I love Walmart’s Orange Morning (or something like that) (and it’s WAY cheaper than Crystal Light). I think that layout is adorable while I”m at it!

I’m glad to hear your headaches are getting better :-)

I love your LO – great job! I also noticed the gates around the TV! I’m so envious if that’s working for ya! My girls are 1 1/2 years apart, and would have had those down in a heartbeat, LOL!

First, happy new year! And goodluck with the rest of the race! :)
