Wow, July has just begun but it’s already started as one of the busiest months this year for me!  I have a lot of new stuff this weekend, including a new grab bag and a guest spot at one of my favorite stores.  This grab bag has six new items.  They will only be available through the grab bag and will be retired at the end of the month.  If you want to see what’s inside beforehand check out the product page – there are previews of everything in the extra images.  Just $3!

I also have a new kit called Goodnight Bedbugs!  It’s got all kinds of cute little bugs with great big eyes in it!  Just drawing them made me laugh!  :lol:  There are a few extra items that have been put together in a bundle, too.  The kit and extra items (word art, styles, and extra bugs) are all 30% off this weekend, but you can save 40% by purchasing the bundle.

Before I say anything else, I’m really sorry if you happened to get two or more copies of my newsletter.  I promise I’m not trying to bully you into buying my stuff.   For some reason the NEW newsletter program I’m using is giving me fits and sending out two of everything.  I’ll get it fixed this week and in the meantime I apologize for the duplicates.

This is one of those kits that started out as one thing and then morphed into something else entirely.  You know how it is, you think to yourself, “Oh a couple of birds would look cute in this,” so you add the birds, then you decide a cat would be cute, then maybe a dog, a tree, some flowers, and before you know it it’s full of your favorite things and there’s nothing  to help it, you’ve got to call it My Favorite Things!   What, that never happens to you???    Hmm…  lol  Well, anyway, that’s what happened to me.

So (finally) here’s the kit and the cluster frames:

And I also have some commercial use OK brushes (they come as png files, too).  They are swirls that you can create your own flourishes with and I love them!  I just love flourishes in general, but I really love that I can use these to make all different combinations of flourishes.  I’m working on another set right now, too.  These are on sale as well this weekend for 30% off.

And you guys know that I very rarely get a chance to scrap, but I found some time earlier this week and made a layout using Anne Quade’s – Fishbowl Designs – new kit, Just Greens.  I think it turned out pretty darn cute.  Not that I can take much credit for it because I also used NeeNee’s templates.  You know NeeNee?  She’s awesome, I love her.  Anyway, I CAN take credit for the cute baby.  I did make him myself (I suppose I had help there, too, though).  Let me just show you the layout already.  lol

And now I better go to bed, because I obviously need sleep and will probably be embarrassed by this post in the morning.

Since some of you asked about my date the other day… we had a GREAT time!    I had a hard time deciding what movie to see, but we finally settled on The Bounty Hunter.  It was funny and I LOVE Gerard Butler (even though his beautiful accent was almost non-existent this time) and even Chris thought it was pretty good.  Then we went to Black Angus where I ate too much.  LOL  I can’t resist their loaded baked potato soup and big mountain chocolate fudge cake.  But we had a great time and it was nice to be able to just sit and talk like normal people for once.  We need to do that more often.

So to celebrate my birthday I’m having a sale!

I was going to continue with the Safari theme for the Extras, but some of the animals I just had to  put in there weren’t exactly Safari type animals!  lol  But they are perfect for zoo pictures!

Yep, I am going back to Sunshine Studio!  I was so flattered by all of your guesses, though!  I’m not coming back full time (you know how crazy life is sometimes), so I won’t have something new every week, but I will have new stuff in there as often as I can.  I’ll post about it here when I do.  I’m also seeing about getting a new newsletter together soon.

Some of you may have noticed that I’m no longer at Sunshine Studio. It was a VERY hard decision to make and I’m extremely sad to be leaving there, but I realized that I was not cut out to be a store owner. There is so much that goes on behind the scenes in getting a store ready and keeping it running and… well, I just want to be a worker bee and sit behind my computer designing! But I didn’t feel I could stay at Sun and just be a designer, I needed to make a clean break from the business side. I will still be doing freebie collabs with them and I still love and adore all of the Sunshine Girls, so there’s no drama involved at all!

You can (as always!) find me at ScrapMatters, but I was also picked up and given a home by Scrap Orchard! You know I already adore Shauna (being a Sunshine Girl herself), but Kami, Mel, and all of the other Orchard ladies are wonderful as well and I am already really happy there!

I have a couple of new things out this week and they are on sale for 20% off at Scrap Orchard!

I fell in love with stars while I was creating Country Stars (which is also 20% off the Orchard!), but I felt like the colors were quite masculine and kind of left the girls out. Then I remembered a request that my friend Larissa made for a girlish celestial themed kit. This is what I came up with!

I also have a wedding kit called… White Wedding! lol I know, so original! I drew the doves and the dresses (there are two, even though only one is shown in the preview) and I had a ton of fun “decorating” the cakes! It’s almost completely white, so you can add in your own colors or recolor parts of it to match your own wedding colors.
