I finally, FINALLY have the newsletter problem solved.  I think.  You all will have to let me know this weekend whether or not you get my newsletter.  I’ll send it out Friday night, so if you don’t have it by Saturday morning let me know and I’ll… I don’t know what I’ll do, but it won’t be good.  lol

And I’m really pretty excited about my new kit that’s coming out this weekend!  It’s a boy kit, which I tend to struggle with (sadly, considering I have two boys)!  But I think it turned out pretty awesome!  Anyway, here’s a little sneak peek…

How can I put this without looking completely lame…?  I guess there really isn’t any way around it.  lol  I’m going to be designing again.  I know, I know, you don’t have to say it, I can already hear it in my own head… Well, that lasted all of five minutes!  Make up your mind already!  I knew it wouldn’t last!

I made it almost six months and I was gloriously happy with my simplified, almost-completely-internet-free life, but I’d have flashes of needing to create something and the computer would draw me in and I’d start making things.  Apparently one of my friends noticed and she encouraged (persuaded, bullied – albeit kindly, bribed) me into designing again.  So, I will be, but it will all mostly be new stuff.  All of my retired items will be staying retired.

So, how about a contest?  Guess where I’ll be and I’ll randomly choose 2 people with correct answers to receive my newest kit.  Deadline is midnight Saturday, Feb 27th!

Thank you so much for all of the sweet comments you’ve been leaving for me here on the blog, and also for the really kind emails so many of you have sent.  I really appreciate it!

A lot of you have inquired about whether or not I plan on doing a buy-my-store sale.  I really would have liked to, but after discussing it with my store owner, we felt it probably wasn’t a good idea because of the strain it would put on the server.  However, my sale will be going on until the end of September, so there’s still time to get the stuff you really want.

Several people have asked about the designs I’m using for my new blog look.  It’s actually from a kit called My Pumpkin Patch that I’m working on right now.  I will be sending it out at the end of the month as a thank you to everyone who orders anything from my store during my Goodbye Sale (Sept 7th-Sept 30).  So if you placed an order or plan to do so by the end of the month then you’ll be getting the kit for free.  

I know, I know, it’s very pink.  lol  I hope no one is too bothered by it. 

I’ve been getting quite a few emails lately asking about the different fonts that I use, so I thought I’d post about them here in case YOU are wondering as well.  lol  Here are the fonts that people most often ask me to identify in my layouts and previews:

They are all pay fonts, except Karabine.  That one is a free font.

And my signature is my own handwriting, so there’s no font for it.  lol

Okay, business first! If you tried downloading my minikit last night/this morning and it asked for a password, try again. Something is wonky with 4Shared because I did NOT put a password on the download. I went in and tried moving it and then moving it back and it seems to be okay now.

I also want to say a word about piracy. I’ll keep it brief, but I wanted to thank those of you who let me know when you see my kits being pirated. I love what I do, but it really makes me sad (and yes, angry, too!) when I discover that people are sharing my kits. It’s frustrating to work so hard on something only to have it handed out for free!

Now, on to more pleasant subjects!

This week there are going to be TWO speed scraps held at ScrapMatters and I am totally excited! You know I loooooove speed scrapping! Andrea is hosting this week and she decided that it would be a good idea to meet at a regular time, but also at a time that people from other parts of the world could join us. So we are meeting Tuesday at 7pm Pacific and Thursday 10am Pacific. (Check out THIS SITE to see what time that is in your area.) We meet in THIS forum.

For those of you who don’t know what a speed scrap is, basically we all meet in the forum at a certain time and our host gives us one new instruction every 10 minutes for an hour. At the end of the hour you have one hour to finish your layout and post it. The instructions range from choosing a certain amount of photos to using certain kinds of elements to whatever else the host can think up. It’s a lot of fun and I love being able to get a layout done in an hour!
