It feels like ages since I last posted and I guess it HAS been a month!  It’s not that I don’t want to post; I do!  I sit here at my computer several times a week, trying to write, but not being able to think of anything to say.  Most of the problem is that I’m used to this being a business blog, but since I’m no longer selling scrapbook kits I don’t really have anything to say about that.  Plus, I am a very private person and it’s hard for me to share any part of my “real” life.  I WANT to, but any time I write anything about myself I think, Well, who would want to know about that?  lol  What do you blog about on your own blog?  Is it hard for you to post, or does sharing things just come naturally for you?

I finally decided that I need to just make this a personal blog and talk about the things that interest me (and hope that they interest a few other people as well).  I still plan on having the occasional freebie, because I really do love to design but don’t want to have to bother with selling anywhere besides Sugar Hill Co.  I’m lazy like that.  lol  So I wrote out a schedule and am planning on blogging at least four times a week.  I want to have a freebie day and it will probably mostly be personal use doodles, just because I’m kind of into card making right now and love doodles and stamps.  I think I’ll also do a scrap day where I post a layout or feature a kit I love.  Of course I’ll have to have a day to talk about weight loss, since that’s what my life seems to revolve around these days.  And maybe a random photo day, just to show what’s going on around here?

I know, I just had a retiring items sale.  What the heck?!  lol  After giving it some thought I decided that I just wasn’t spending enough time designing personal use products to justify keeping my little shop open.  I’ve decided to concentrate on my CU products and just sell them at Sugar Hill since Tina is so very generous with us there.  It makes no sense for me to keep my little shop open. 

Besides, have you seen all of the gorgeous designs lately by all of the talented designers around digiland?  How in the world can I compete with that?  lol  I think I will be happier designing my CU things and buying kits from all of the immensely talented designers out there when I feel the need to scrap.

I still plan on posting freebies on occasion, so I’ll still be here, but the focus on my blog will probably change from designing to life in general.  No more product ads, more scrapping and rambling about life.  Haha, I can’t wait!

Anyway, be sure to swing by my shop to pick up anything you don’t have and might want before it’s gone.

I hope you all have been enjoying your summer.  Mine has been… not exactly busy, but FULL nonetheless.  Only one of my boys got summer school this year, the other one has been home with me all the time, which has been a real adventure for both of us.  lol  He is the kind of child who needs to be occupied alllllll the time or else he starts getting into things.  He is sweet and wonderful, but intensely curious about everything and has no impulse control at all, so he gets into trouble really easily if we don’t watch him carefully, constantly.  I won’t even mention everything that happened yesterday, but I will say that due to his curiosity and lack of impulse control I am now completely out of pepper, sage, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, glue, dishwashing soap, drinking straws,  Life cereal, and yogurt.  He also hid the keys to the RV gate somewhere.  And he got ahold of my husband’s camera and took 56 pictures of himself, his brother (sleeping), his teddy bear, and the TV, which had a Leap Frog DVD playing at the time.  The photos turned out pretty good for a 4 year old!  lol

My parents just left about a week ago after a nice two week long visit with us and I am still sad, BUT they bought a house about 2.5 miles from mine while they were here and will be back in 4 weeks to move in!   YAY!  I am so excited.  My parents have been in Hawaii (with several years in Tonga and New Zealand here and there) forever, but they recently put their house on the market and it sold immediately, so now they will be near me.  I am selfishly overjoyed!  I’ve missed my parents so much.

So school will be starting soon (another YAY!) and hopefully it will start to cool off (soon, please!) and Autumn will be here.  It’s been a long, hot summer, hasn’t it?  It’s been scorching here in Arizona and I am more than ready for it to not be so hot anymore.  We had a big dust storm a few weeks ago, which was pretty crazy, too!  Gotta love that weird weather.  Check out this video of it…

Anyway, enough about my “exciting” life.  LOL  On to the good stuff!

Do any of you use SVG cutting files?  I recently got a Cricut Expression (thanks, Mom!) and Sure Cuts A Lot and have been thinking about designing my own SVG files (which would be super easy since my designs start out as SVGs before they become PSDs and TIFs)!  Just wondering if any of you use these kinds of files and might be interested in them if I make them.  Leave me a comment if you do, I’d love to hear what you think and what kinds of designs you’d be looking for.
