Wow….so how is everyone’s Summer going??  And for those of you down under…winter!   Is everyone as busy as I am…I’ve never had a summer where I was THIS busy!!  Sadly, I’m looking forward to school starting, just to get back into a routine!!

Wow, long time no post!  But with the end of the school year activities and summer vacation starting, I’m sure everyone’s been a bit tied up lately!!  With that being said…Happy Summer Vacation everyone!  Is it weird that I love and dread summer vacation at the same time??  I love that the no hussle and bussle with bringing my daughter to school, but at the same time, I’m missing my little break, hahaha!!  Ah, the life of a stay at home Mom!!!

But enough about that….let me show you the totally cute kit that Ellie dusted off and RE-MADE… ADAM Revisited!  I always did love this kit, I loved the colors of it…but I fell in love with it all over again!  Check it out:

We’ve had quite a few template challenges, so I thought I might switch it up a little this week.  I’ve been seeing lots of pictures, status updates, etc. referring to graduations on my Facebook homepage and it kind of inspired me…not to necessarily scrap graduation pictures, but it got me to thinking about all those special achievements in our lives, and graduation is certainly one of those!  So, for this weeks challenge, I want to see your layouts celebrating a big accomplishment.  Here are just a few ideas (and please don’t feel limited to these suggestions!): potty training, taking those 1st steps, giving up the “binky” (this was a HUGE one in our family-lol), learning to swim, graduations, retirement, etc.

I chose to make a layout for my husband.  He ran a marathon last month in Nashville…we were all super proud of him, and it was a big achievement in less than ideal circumstances (record high temperatures that day!)

The papers are from For Mellisa mini, the stars & frames from On The Move, and King Rogue’s Alpha for my layout…here some previews for you, linked to Ellie’s store, of course.  (font – 1942 report)

So today I decided to try making a few cards, and I couldn’t resist playing with Ellie’s mini kit “A Little Dream” and her cute little coordinating “Vellum Things” (these are from her part of the FEMNZ May Grabbag…if you haven’t checked it out yet click here for a peek!)

I love the bright colors!  My photography doesn’t really do these justice, but here they are…I think they turned out pretty cute!

I created the small card in PSE–I started with a canvas size slightly smaller than the plain cards I had on hand. (I ended up with 4 cards, and fit them on a 8.5 x 11 paper for printing)  I printed them out, then cut them with my paper trimmer, inked the edges, and then attached them to the blank note cards using some scrapbook adhesive I had in my stash.  I did try to cut out a few elements, but in the process of trying to use the ink, and having the company of 2 curious kiddos…well, I only ended up with 2 that I could show you…lol! Here’s another look at the 2 cards I ended up with:

Hi everyone…today’s post is going to be just a tad bit different!  Since Ellie doesn’t have any new products out this week, I thought I’d remind you of a few great kits – well, I’m going to be selfish and bring you a couple of my absolute FAVORITES / MUST HAVES!! So, I thought to myself “self, Summer is right around the corner and what better way to get excited about some warm weather then with a great summery/fun in the water kit”…so I bring you AQUAMARINE!!!  I absolutely love this kit, it is just so much fun!

I love all of the sea animals in this kit…here’s a layout I made using this kit:

I was really lucky to get some great shots in Turtle Talk with Crush at Disneyworld!!  This kit was perfect for these pictures too!!

Also, when I think of Summer…I think of trips to the Zoo – in fact, I think I may be going today, if I can muster up enough energy to take my two kids by myself –  I better get some more coffee!!  Ok, so with trips to the zoo, there are TWO great kits you can use – SOMETHING WILD and A RAINBOW’S PROMISE!!
